H.E. Dr. Fitsum Assefa, Minister of Planning and Development Ministry, held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Koffi Kouame, UNFPA Country Representative to Ethiopia, to discuss preparations for the national launch of the 2025 State of World Population report and the commemoration of World Population Day.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to addressing key population and development issues. They explored additional areas of collaboration and emphasized the importance of strengthening their strategic partnership. H.E. Dr. Fitsum and Mr. Kouame agreed that the cooperation between UNFPA and the Ministry should continue even stronger in the future.
