Ethiopia and Israel Strengthen Bilateral Ties at HLPF 2025 Sidelines in New York

Ethiopia and Israel convened a high-level bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation in environmental and climate change policies.
Leb by H.E. Mr. Bereket Fisehatsion, State Minister of FDRE’s Ministry of Planning and Development and H.E. Rami Rozen, Director General Ministry of Environmental Protection of Isreal, the meeting focused on sharing experiences in development planning and the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ethiopia presented its strategies for mainstreaming the SDGs into its development planning and implementation processes.
The two nations discussed collaboration in several key areas, including climate-smart agriculture, energy, institutional capacity building, early warning systems, vulnerability and risk assessment. Both sides emphasized the significance of sharing expertise and technology to promote sustainable development.
